My new favorite. I have been. There several times on the last few months. They make an effort to make you feel welcome. They learn your name and your drink. The food is excellent and presented well

My wife and I have been a few times over the years with positive results. We had the calamari for an app which is always good. I had Veal Marsala and was happy with the taste but the mushrooms were very dark almost black with no flavor. My wife enjoyed the shrimp scampi and my Caesar salad was very crisp and cold. Our waitress has been there since day one and very good. We will be back.

I agree with Jenny, this is also a mixed review. The atmosphere is nice, a little dim, but cozy. Our appetizer of fried calamari was too greasy and our main meals were underdone. I ordered pork chops, which were rare, and my boyfriend ordered a steak at medium, it came to us medium rare. If you want Italian food, drive a little further down the road and go to West Springfield or Chicopee, you'll fare much better.

This is a mixed review. The ambiance was really nice...white tablecloths, soft lighting, and extremely friendly waitstaff. Martini menus are always fun! However, it was 8:00 on a Friday night and they were out of the first three things we tried to order. It kind of puts a damper on things when you have to keep sending your server away so that you can go over the menu again. And again. We started with oysters from the raw bar and they were fabulous. Really, really fresh and well-cleaned/prepared. For entrees, I had the lobster fra diavolo (minus the lobster -- because they were out). They made it with shrimp and scallops, and it was just so-so. The sauce had a nice flavor, but the scallops were painfully overcooked and had an on-the-edge-of-turning-bad flavor. Not bad enough to make you sick, but enough to make them taste more bitter than sweet. I would have sent them back, but I didn't feel like going over the menu again. I gave one to my boyfriend to try, and he chewed for so long that it actually became comical...pausing to sip some water part way through. I got grilled asparagus on the side, which was the highlight of my main course. My boyfriend went with the chicken piccata, and it was very nice. Good flavor, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The ambiance and oysters were worthy of another try, so I think we'll go back and next time I'll try their aged steaks, which seem to be their specialty.

Wonderful italian food and great steaks. The calamari is excellent as well. Nice ambiance, although they had some gorgeous saltwater aquariums which we enjoyed that are no longer there, so it's not as nice as it once was. But overall still a nice evening out- great wine list and desserts too.. Try the 7 layer carrot cake, it's out of this world!

We try to go there as often we can go to escape from the chain restaurants and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with good food.

This is one of the best restaurants in the Springfield area, everything is LEGIT. I've never been disappointed with anything there. Their steaks are my favorite; they got this insanely good ribeye that's as big as the plate, a strip that is amazing by itself, but you can also get stuffed with gorgonzola cheese. They make their own salad dressing that's super good. All the regular Italian dishes you expect to be there, are made perfectly. Like I said, everything is LEGIT. It's technically in Feeding Hills, but its right down the street from the highway and its really not far at all from downtown Springfield.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
